“Best meal I’ve had in a long time.”
We stopped for a quick bite during the art fair. Pleasantly surprised st how well prepared and delicious everything was. From the smoked salmon starter through the pea ravioli and delicately prepared scallops, we loved it all. The fresh basil, which is grown out front was added to my cocktail . I’ll be returning to their front patio soon!
Our visit to Avenue was the third restaurant in as many evenings. It is an unpretentious space with clean lines and uncluttered seating. Best short ribs! Hands down; nicely presented, tender and flavorful with fresh, crispy green beans and a crunchy-on-the outside, soft-on-the-inside potato cake. Crispy warm bread and a delightfully sweet-tart house-made lemonade rounded out the meal. Our server, Sam was attentive, and his assistant saw to it our water glasses were full and dirty plates were whisked away. In all honesty, Avenue was not my first choice for the evening, but I am glad we ended up there. Lots of kudos from the family on this choice.
